After graduation from Leonia, I went to Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken for engineering. Following graduation, I went to work at National Steel in Detroit.  Two years later, I left that employment to take a position with the engineering department of Western Electric.  There I found I had a talent for reengineering processes and creating systems to manage them.  Several years later, I was transferred to the marketing department of AT&T where I performed those functions and provided technical sales support for the AT&T sales force for Fortune 500 companies communication networks.  I retired from AT&T in 1998 after 36 years.
I met and married my wife Diane in 1980.  We have one daughter, Victoria, who just graduated from Marymount College of Fordham University.  I have 4 other children from my first marriage, 3 girls and one boy.  I also have 5 grandchildren.  With Victoria’s graduation, I think I am finally done raising kids!

Since retiring, Diane and I have been active in many areas: we founded a parent support group for the fine arts program at the Academy of Holy Angels where our daughter Victoria went to high school; we are also past Members of the Board of the Bergen Youth Orchestras.  Years ago, I served on the Saddle Brook Board of Education.

In 1999, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  I sought treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in NYC.  I am happy to say that after 6 years the doctor and I agree that I am cancer free.
