graduation from Leonia, I went to Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken for
engineering. Following graduation, I went to work at National Steel in Detroit.
Two years later, I left that employment to take a position with the engineering
department of Western Electric. There I found I had a talent for reengineering
processes and creating systems to manage them. Several years later, I was
transferred to the marketing department of AT&T where I performed those
functions and provided technical sales support for the AT&T sales force for
Fortune 500 companies communication networks. I retired from AT&T in 1998
after 36 years.
I met and
married my wife Diane in 1980. We have one daughter, Victoria, who just
graduated from Marymount College of Fordham University. I have 4 other children
from my first marriage, 3 girls and one boy. I also have 5 grandchildren. With
Victoria’s graduation, I think I am finally done raising kids!
Diane and I have been active in many areas: we founded a parent support group
for the fine arts program at the Academy of Holy Angels where our daughter
Victoria went to high school; we are also past Members of the Board of the
Bergen Youth Orchestras. Years ago, I served on the Saddle Brook Board of
In 1999, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I sought treatment
at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in NYC. I am happy to say that after
6 years the doctor and I agree that I am cancer free.
